Well, as you'd know it, I'm feeling rather under it presently, so am extending the UNDERGOUND / UNDER WATER deadline to Tuesday, JUNE 5th*. I forgot I have my son's HS graduation party to finalize and pay for, etc, and all that goes with that!
Gosh, when I think for highschool in London we simply did our intensive A-level exams and then turned in our books to the school secretary to leave once and for all. No hoopla, no celebration, no gifts or party. We didn't even get our exam grades back until later that summer, based off of the entire TWO previous years' worth of work! There was no final grade merit for homework, and school work during that time. Everything rode on your memorization of two years worth of work (unfair, I admit)! I tell ya, these guys have it easy! Feeling rather old now but will save you the stories of going uphill both ways! :)
Ok, see you then. Sign up whenever you like, if not already. Some of you now have extra time and some can just kick back and relax, easing into summer. I'll visit and check out your art during this time if signed up, however. Thank you. Loving what I'm seeing so far!
* A prerogative one has as the host! Sorry.
congrats to your son, see you June 5th then!
ReplyDeleteOh! Oh dear, I just posted it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the graduate. Gee that must be some party you are throwing if you need 10 days for recuperation after it! lol. Enjoy!
Sounds great - See you June 5th - Congratulations to your son!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the party!
I am glad I have more time....I needed it!
- thanks, heather
Well, of course, Betsy, the graduation is on Saturday and that leaves me only two days -- Sunday and Monday --efore the following tuesday, May29th, so June 5th works better. I don;t want to rush this and have only just begun drawing it out.
ReplyDeleteNo worries already posting it. The link will still show up on Tuesday, for anyone that has not visited prior to then. TY for your contribution!
I was just teasing you, Mr. Toast, as I thought you liked to work under pressure. ha. You can schedule it whenever you like, of course. :)
DeleteCongratulations to your son and enjoy the party! They grow up so fast so you need to take time out to enjoy their successes.
ReplyDeletebest of luck and hope you feel better! (funny - if I remember my own last year of high school, it seems the party begun a full 8 months before the actual graduation -- people playing guitars during math class and whatnot... anyway)
ReplyDeleteMmm just wanted to say Congratulations to your son. These are such special occasions, and deserve your full attention. We are now past our children's graduations....but almost every year we have a grandchild graduating some where! I posted mine early too, but it will show up when everyone elses is posted.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the time and effort you take to make this a fun meme.
Mmm I will sign up again for Underwater/undergroud, as I have a new blog and have deleted my brushstrokes blog...long story.
