New Theme ...due Jan 20th.
After reading through your various posts about ringing in the new year, I thought how novel would it be here if each of us took these next few weeks to think up a word that we would want to define our own year ahead. I'd like you then to not only come up with YOUR 2015 WORD but, of course, illustrate it too somehow for our co-op.
You may have heard of the one little word movement but if you're still stuck, not to worry! Here's just one woman's example. However you chose to focus on your word, the idea is that it's one that thrills you to action and contemplation. It's more about using intention for the year which is far more inspiring than making a new year's resolution that invariably fails with its rather energy-sapping tasks. For example, "Lose Weight" or "Stop Smoking" resolutions are not nearly as inspiring as choosing the word, "Healthy!" instead. Using a positive word as your encouraging anchor also won't lead to any guilt as unmet resolutions can so often do.
BTW, please don't feel like you have to commit to anything and stick with it for the whole year. If you only think about it over these next two weeks while creating your art, that is fine too. It's up to you. Have fun with it. Let YOUR WORD inspire you for the year ahead. Having not done this before, I know mine will. Can't wait to get on it. :)
I think this is great and incredibly inspiring. Especially since I'm STILL trying to decide what my word is for the year. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a word right now, will have to think on this. I'll probably go with something easy.
ReplyDeletehope you have a sweet day.
Great theme. Now I need to pick up a dictionary :)
ReplyDeleteI'm linking up with my word! Thanks for this cute challenge!
ReplyDeleteSo my word choice is very special to me. It has made an enormous difference in my life for nearly 60 years, and I'd like to think that others would find the difference it can make in their lives.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until I post mine tomorrow. I had to wait until the last minute because of timing on my blog. I love the CREATE - beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Janis
