PILLOWS of Slumber Hills

Can you count how many pillows make up this dreamscape? Everything except for the fluffy sheep, the house and sign are pillows of one sort or another. I wish I could have done this better (as Lissa might have with her attention to details and patterns) but it's the best I could do, now running up to the wire, after a long Valentine weekend.

Funny, but something that was meant to be easier was actually a lot harder for me. Well, there you go. It takes all sorts... like my son who wanted to play with his new tablet's paint tool and decided to pitch his own rather cheeky interpretation for us (under "FullerColor"). Makes me chuckle, must say. Ha.

So, how was this theme for you? Sign up if you haven't done already. See you on your site later today!

  1. Hi Michael, I love your slumber rendition. I thought of sheep as well. Brilliant. Where can I view your son's artwork as there's no link to see it? Now I'm off to check out the other inspiring works of art. Again, thank you for Creative Tuesdays. :-)

  3. Michael, this is truly wonderful and you have surpassed yourself with this one. Such an idilic setting, I would love to be living in that red house, wouldn't life be just bliss sitting watching those leaping sheep. LOVE it!!

  5. sorry, I didn't have en entry this time and not because my laptop stopped working but I just couldn't think of anything. it did seem like an easy theme but it wasn't.

well done on your take, I don't think I would have added any kind of details to the pillow, although I might add some patterns and colors to the pillow. I do like the jumping sheep, and the little red house and the sign, such homely feel to the whole piece. I wouldn't might living there.

well, hope you have a lovely day.

p.s., I moved my url again, thought I start new with the new year and also because I'm in such a slumber at the moment, that I thought a new blog would do me good.

    1. Thank you, Karen. You know, you aren't the only talented artist I've read recently who has felt the same way. You will surpass this and are still doing great stuff.

  9. You did an incredible job making the whole picture look as light and comforting as a huge, soft pillow! It made me want to cuddle up with some tea and lay my head down :)
