Just Add Water by Delphine Doreau (a brilliant French illustrator)

So, figured it out yet? It doesn't have to be complicated, but does involve small creatures, LITTLE TWITTERS, to be exact. Isn't that going to be just darling? I can't wait to hop on board this one. Over the next fortnight though, I don't expect any of you to be in any sort feathered frenzy, so to speak! No, just having fun. Play with it. To get us going, I've even added some LITTLE BIRDS to our CT board, should you want to flutter over there. Up to you.

As usual, I'll add the sign in on the due date. In the interim, I hope to even write a post prior, within the week or so on some words of wisdom from someone I call, my Little Yoda. Keep your heads up for that one. :)

Before you go, do let us know your thoughts on this theme and what you thought of our Aqua collection as a whole, if you did that or not. I thought they were stellar! Everything from bathing suits to flowers to plastic wrap to ballet! I'm still chuckling over Donna's wonderfully named "Aqoala". What fun! Thank you, all.

    1. Actually, i have to say, Wanda, that I was thinking you with your balcony might get particularly inspired by this and can focus more on the inspiration that having to do anything that complicated or time consuming....you know, your cookie ministry needs must not wait! :) Lovely to have you back here, truly. Thank you.

  3. Hi Michael, oooh, I love "birds of a feather" especially baby chicks. I'm looking forward to tackling this. And the "aqua" theme was super fun too! Thanks again. :-)

    1. P.S. Michale, thanks also for adding my site to your sidebar. I did put an RSS feed, but took it down as I was having huge issues on my blog with it added. :

    3. Yes, you didn't seem to have that working earlier and if a regular contributor I like to feature you on the side bar, plus it allows me to quickly see who is doing what. BTW, can you make it set up so a little thumbnail shows up as well.

  4. I thought the theme would be candy or something sweet but birds are okay. love that Doreau bird illustraion, it's just so cute.

I actually like the aqua/orange themes as they both had two meanings which actually makes it easier, at least for me. maybe I'm the only one, I find if a theme has more than one meaning, it means, less time on thinking on more time on creating.

    anyway, have a lovely day.

  5. p.s., I was hoping you would continue with the color themes but I suppose it's best to have more variety, you know?

    1. Yes, variety, but, yes too, I liked the colours with double meanings. In fact, I have a few more up my sleeves...for later. While some people like something more open ended, others don't, so thought this would be a bit easier. So, yes, you can be sure other colours will show up throughout the summer. Thank you for your feedback, Lissa. Really appreciated.

  9. Charu, hello! I really love yours but I can't post on it, every time I hit the comment section it sends me to another spammy website :-( Maybe it's my browser? Anyway I hope you see this, loved your beautiful humming birds and watercolor work! And also, to Mister Toast, thank you as always! I am excited for a nature-y theme; perhaps the next one could incorporate plants? I am on a plant kick recently, drawing wise, but also really loved looking at everybody's birdies ^_^
