Sleeping is such a luxury, yes? We certainly know that when, for example, we've ever been deprived of it due to some injury, life event, or what have you. Most of the time, however, it's rarely considered. After all, it's like breathing — we all do it, even our pets! Yet, studies consistently show just how vital our sleep and dreams are to our well being.
While many of us never recall our dreams, some, like me, remember each one in crystal clarity. My favourite type of dreaming though? Just to lay there awake, imagining the often impossible, overcoming any nebulous fears simply to engage in that child-like sense of wonder once again. What about you? Perhaps you'll show us one or some of yours?
Before our next sign up (due Sept 15th), here's some ideas to help you along the way. Until then... sleep tight, and DREAM bright*, my little band of CT'ers. :)
* Hmmm... maybe I could dream of just how on earth one can also grow to over 10, 000 followers on Facebook as my amazing Alexandra just reached! :)

ADDENDUM: Time to Sign up now! As it is, I've been quite busy lately and am not too sure I'll have anything ready by EOD Tuesday. Sorry about that; feeling rather worn out. I even tried sketching something this Monday evening. Never mind. Sometimes we feel that inspiration, other times we don't. A good reminder here, actually: please never feel stressed out with this co-op. It's here to encourage, uplift and motivate us to be creative, not for putting any undue pressure on anyone...myself included, come to think of it. And so, how about we just interpret your own dreams instead...? :)
P.S. I just noticed another later entry for the last theme. If you haven't seen it, please visit Niina's container garden. Clever idea.
Who drew the above picture?
ReplyDeleteDo you dream in colour and have you ever smelled anthing or tasted food in your dreams?
Yes to all, dear HW. All the time.
DeleteArtist is listed under picture and links to it too: Komoki Sakai
I totally didn't see that small print. But it's very clear now. Good on you.
DeleteI don't think many people remember all their dreams like you do.
ReplyDeleteI like to remember my dreams too but darn it, I have no such ability, all I can remember are blurs - not even worth remembering.
ReplyDeletedream - it's a great theme. will think on it. have a lovely day.
I'm thinking you can have super fun with this one, Lissa! :)
DeleteThis is adorable! I'm so bummed I missed the last one, I have been swamped with work since getting back into town. I will make something new and I will comment on everybody's old and new works! Sleeping and dreaming sound like such fun right now even if I've not time for it :-p
ReplyDeleteTell me about it Donna! good luck.
DeleteHi Michael. Been out of town to a Memorial Service of a friend (90). My dearest has the service. But back in town and looking forward to this them. I do most of my dreaming when I'm awake. This may be a stretch but I have an idea. Something I've done for years.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it, Wanda. :)
DeleteMichael,
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the opportunity to think, pray and paint. May you find the peace you need and not feel stressed for the next prompt. I was down to the wire and figured if I had a few minutes I would do it. And I did!.
Blessings,
Janis
So glad you did, Tracy, and thank you. Still catching up, thus I'm late here even posting comments and new theme.
DeleteMichael, thank you for this dreamy prompt. And yes, I would LOVE to know how Alexandra got 10,000 FB followers! Now that would be a dream come true for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteHee. Take Alex's calss (in link). She goes all into it there. :) Only $35 no less.
DeleteI am intrigued by Alex's class, but I fear there may to be much work involved...or maybe not. I'll check it out.
Deletenothing from me though I have a really good excuse but I think whining or complaining should be kept to a minimum here at ct land. to keeps the bad vibes away, you know, or something like that.
ReplyDeleteanyway, I hope to participate in the next theme. have a lovely september.
Funny you missed this too as I was thinking this would be the ideal theme for your style of art. Oh well. Next time indeed! :)
DeleteI know how you feel, some weeks it's a struggle to accomplish anything, as life's issues get in the way. I hope you participate next time too, but don't put pressure on yourself. Who knows, I may not be able to come up with anything next time. Take it one day at a time, Lissa. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe shall see and thank you for your comments here and support, Tracy Very nice of you.
DeleteWe all need support, Michael. Glad to encourage. :-)
