Newest Theme... due March 2nd.

(Cover Art for "Brambley Hedge - Autumn Story" by Jill Barklem)

Well, "Pillows" ended up being harder for many of us than perhaps we expected. Just glad that some of you went ahead and tackled it anyway. Glad too that I did not give up on my own piece! Thank you for the lovely comments.

It's a wee bit later putting this theme up as I was really in a muddle trying to think up something. So what do I do when facing such a dilemma? Ask my constantly creative wife, of course! :) ....So, if you don't like this one, go and email Alex a complaint on her site! I don't want to hear it! :) Hahaha, no, no, actually, it's quite clever and suuuper cozy. I hope you'll agree. UNDER THE LEAVES makes me think of hedgehogs, maybe even fairies, but let's see what each of you come up with, shall we? Happy dreaming.  Let's get really bundled up in the undergrowth of creativity here, as it were. Happy burrowing. :)

  1. Sounds like a good one and also sounds like you two make for a good team.

    1. Yes, thank you. I think meeting each other during what were the loneliest, hardest times helped us forge a friendship based on desperation, help and support from which love could eventually grow. The part that most blesses me (us) is how well we compliment each other. Each day is truly a gift not to be taken for granted.

  3. It's funny how we each think a theme may be hard or not. I found the pillow theme easy, but "Under the Leaves" sounds more of a challenge, especially looking at the detail in the photo prompt. But I will try my best. :-)

    1. Yes, I think Under the Leaves may well be harder to draw but easier in terms of being able to think up ideas. And please don't feel you need to do anything super detailed. You could even just show a few leaves would suffice. Have fun with it.

  4. Oh this one sounds just right for me!! Just hope the emergencies around here abate a little so I can concentrate. My niece is still in the hospital, having seizures of unknown cause. My granddaughter is about the same, but thankfully no worse. I'm dealing with the Scruffy thing a day at a time, mostly by diversion when possible. Hope to see you in 2 weeks.

    1. I'm really sorry to learn of your neice's ongoing condition. Our hearts go out to her and you and the family. Perhaps you can create something for this theme that will bless her? Regardless, it would be lovely to see your contribution back here.

  5. *complaining on her site right now* Just kidding! I wish I could draw! Maybe someday I'll feel like embarrassing myself and participating:)

    1. Hi Rachel,
Anyone can draw. Just break things down into shapes. So go for it. Draw one leaf. Tracy. :-)

  6. I'll probably sit this one out, I'm sort of in a slump and can hardly get anything done but I'll think on this. it doesn't sound like a hard theme but who is to say what's hard?

hope you have a lovely day.

  9. Sorry, I'm a little dense - I thought I was linking to somehow join here. I'm not posting a painting yet for this topic. So if can to the person who runs this blog you can delete my link up top.
