New theme for May 7th is...

Donna summed it up well in her comment previously when she noted the variety of interpretation for the STRIPES theme. I agree! Hopefully, by now, all of you got to visit each other and welcome our new participants. :) It's always interesting meeting other online artists and seeing what they do, isn't it? So, with that, let me say thank you all for your many detailed entries. I really enjoyed seeing whether the stripes depicted were direct or more subtle like the stalks on Anne's piece, or a combination thereof.

Well, with that, for our next theme we're going to do something quite different...
Have you got it? Yes, we'll attempt a MONOGRAM! You could do your own initial(s), a child's, or some other exploration. And please don't feel it has to be super sharp edged like this sample above. You could even add whimsical illustrations woven in-between the letter(s). Up to you, really. Have fun playing with this. I'm thinking it could make a lovely present for someone too perhaps, or even added to one's own stationery or online store? Hmm...

(* As always, please feel free to first read CREATIVE TUESDAYS Guidelines, Rules & FAQ —especially if new here— for keeping consistency and brand ID on our co-op and with respect to all those who contribute here. ONLY posts that clearly follow the simple guidelines will be included or commented on, in interest of time and so on. Thank you.)

  9. Interesting theme, which I found quite challenging this time, as I wanted it to be recognisable as me, even without the initials.

  10. I really had fun with this and I was careful to follow the guidelines this time! I just jumped right in there last time without knowing what I was doing. (Typical of me!) So sorry! Really looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. Thanks for sponsoring such a great co-op.
