New Theme, New SurPRIZE!

Isn't GIFTING something to someone so fun, bringing joy to the giver and the receiver? I think it's made all the more delightful when not expected, don't you? What a great way to tell someone that they matter, that you appreciate them uniquely and wanted to bless them.

It doesn't have to be big, it could be the smallest thing. And so it is here. I want to give you something. In fact, Alexandra and I both want to give you something, some surprise gift, a bundle of little things to mail directly to one of you. (If only it could be to everyone!) We want to show our appreciation and gratitude to those of you out there who support us in your own way.

Some of you I've known from afar a long time now, while others I've only recently discovered through your art here. In either case, so many of you have helped push us as artists and as individuals. Both Alex and I, independently of one another before our paths ever crossed, have each faced very lonely dark days. Creative expression and the online community that imbues it can offer one solace through such trying times and even a surprising delight in other times of refreshing.

So, in celebration of artistic expression, whimsy, and this kind of community from afar, let's do a fabulous giveaway! How do you enter?
  • Participate in the next Creative Tuesdays (C.T. guidelines)
  • Sign up with a link to your own art piece
  • Must coincide with new theme: GIFTING
  • New piece of art (not previously done)
  • Cannot combine art co-ops (C.T. only)
  • Sign up opens here on Tuesday, Sept 22nd
  • EXTRA entry for anyone who brings someone else to sign up.
I'll be sure to post a photo or two next Tuesday of a few of the gift prizes, so do please check back in.

It's going to be a fun weekend shopping with you lot in mind. Who knows what we'll find? Can't wait! Good luck to everyone. I hope you each have time to sign up this go around. If you're new and have ever considered joining Creative Tuesdays, this is your chance! It will be worth it (and quite fun), I'm sure. And, hey, we might even throw in a 2nd, possibly 3rd prize, depending on the participation. Thanks again to each of you. Let the holiday season begin! :)

  1. Love gifting and like you, I agree, it doesn't have to be big things. It can even be non-buying things. Last weekend Tim went to his buddies house to game for the day. So I cleaned out his van. It was a great little gift from me to him.

Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers and boogie boogie.

PS: Glad blogging has helped. It's a wonderful hobby.

  3. Oh this is good, Michael. Giving and receiving are precious gifts and I think this theme is super nice. I have received from you, and I am truly excited that you are going to gift one of us. I'm trying not be selfish and want it for myself, but in reality anyone who gets it will be blessed!!! OK now I have to get busy with a painting. I think I have an idea....Love and Hugs

  6. Michael....I just got back to last CT and saw your comment. Yes I love the clouds...and by the way..I did answer your question, and I'll just copy it here so you don't have to go look for it.

HaHa....they may surprise you, but I love to make up stories and usually I'm the story teller, spinning big tales from places I've never been, with people I've never met...If you ever saw "Out of Africa" years ago, Meryl Streep wound those tales in and out and I loved how they intertwine...Yes, in my day dreams.... I make up wild tales of adventure..

Quite different from my real life which I love, but I love a good story.
